RTITB offers an Overhead Gantry Crane (also known as Overhead Crane or OHC) course that specifically covers operation via pendant or remote controls. Training is delivered through accredited providers at the client's site, and is suitable for all experience levels. 

Course Details

The RTITB Overhead Gantry Crane course (LTG1704) is a comprehensive program designed to ensure the safe and efficient use of these cranes in industrial settings. 

Accreditation: The course is fully accredited by RTITB, a recognized standard-setting body in the UK and internationally for workplace transport training.

Delivery: Training is typically conducted on-site at the customer's premises, allowing operators to train on the specific equipment they will use in their actual working environment.

Duration: The duration varies by the operator's experience level:

Novice: No prior experience; typically requires a minimum of 2-3 days of training.

Experienced (untrained): Relevant experience but no formal training; typically requires 1 day of training.

Refresher: For operators with existing certification (recommended every 3 years); typically lasts 1 day. 

Certification: Successful candidates receive an RTITB Certificate of Basic Training, which is valid for 3 years.
